Volcano Vaporizers for Medical & Scientific Study

The volcano vaporizer is not used as a mere alternative smoking device. It has undergone a number of scientific and medical studies before determining its practical applications for research.

A number of clinical evaluations have been carried out for medical cannabis. The research project was undertaken by the University of California in November 2007 and the results were published in the Journal of American Academy of Neurology. The research concentrated on tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a bioactive compound found in cannabis. The levels of this particular compound were compared in the vapors produced by the volcano vaporizer and in those of burned cannabis.

The study found out that there is very limited exposure to combustion products if one uses a vaporizing device, such as volcano vaporizer.

Another independent study done in 2004 revealed that the vapors contained within volcano vaporizer have higher levels of THC compared to conventional smoke, such as marijuana. These high levels dramatically reduce the concentration of toxic compounds. A major study conducted in May 2008 found out that reproducible THC extraction and delivery is possible using a vaporizing device.

This means that using a vaporizing device is a suitable method for administration of THC. Indeed, most of the studies have already established the fact that volcano vaporizers are a capable delivery system for THC. What this means for an average user is that, a volcano vaporizer can be safely used without worrying about the production of harmful toxins and unwanted particles.
